XOXO

Good Morning Y’all!

I hope everyone’s Valentines Day was as good as mine was! I was so excited all day long because I’ve never celebrated Valentines Day with a boyfriend.  I’ve only had 2 boyfriends (Chad being my second…and he is still, obviously, my boyfriend) and every Valentines Day has either been spent with my girls (LOVE Y’ALL!) or my parents (LOVE THEM SOOOO MUCH!)  It was nice, however, to spend this holiday with someone that I Love in a romantic way.

I woke up and made my 2nd attempt at the surprise center breakfast cookie….the cookie shape didn’t come out so perfect but the flavor…once again was PUURRRRFECTO!

I had this + yogi tea+ vitamins+ 2 FULL glasses of H2O

I then put together a practice for my 16s team today, and made a grocery list for mine and chad’s soon to be famous homemade pizzas!

I went to the rec and ran 2 miles (all I had time for) then headed out to practice!  After practice was over I stopped at Central Market (on my way home) and picked up all the supplies!

When I arrived at the apartment Chad was standing outside with this:

AN EDIBLE ARRANGEMENT!!!! I’ve always wanted one!!!

I was sooo happy to see this in his hands because I’m not much of a flower kind of girl (unless its hibiscus or gerber daisies) BUT I am a fruit+chocolate kind of girl 🙂  This yummy and beautiful bouquet had pineapple, cantelope, strawberries, and apples + a super cute pot that I washed out to keep!

We then got started making the homemade pizza sauce, and cooking the sausage so after his flag football games we could come back and make the pizzas in a FLASH!

I hadn't eaten since the breakfast cookie so I made my tomato pesto grilled cheese on a whole grain bagel to hold me over till after his game!

We packaged up all the ingredients, threw them into the refrigerator, and bolted out the door!

I snapped a few pictures during his game….they aren’t great pics, and they aren’t really action shots (more the In-between action shots)

We then headed back to my apartment to make our pizzas!! (I may have put on Brian McKnight Radio on Pandora while we were making dinner….just to set the “Valentine” mood)

I made half of my pizza with pepperoni and sausage, then the other half with spinach!

before going into the oven

Chads manly meat pizza (w/ blue cup), my semi healthy "girly" pizza on the right (w/ pink cup)

I couldn’t finish mine so I saved the last 2 slices, but Chad had no issues finishing his!!

While we ate we watched

which was Hil-Ar-I-OUS!!!

I was exhausted after a day full of errands, coaching, and hanging out with my sweetie!  It was bedtime for me after watching 3 FULL episodes of this.

This morning I woke up and made my 3rd attempt at the surprise B-fast cookie…it turned out surprisingly well!

I added some pineapple and strawberries from the Edible Arrangement

Overall, this weekend was so fun.  I really loved having a roomie night Friday, then Saturday and part of Sunday hanging out with Chad!  What more could a girl ask for?

Well….apparently (since my birthday is on Thursday) Chad has a surprise for me on Friday (involves being blindfolded).  I know it’s going to be something great but the unknown is always a little scary!  haha jk I can’t wait to find out what he has in store!

Have you ever been surprised by a boyfriend/husband?  Did he blindfold you?

I’d love to hear your stories so please share!

XOXO

I love how you were surprised with an edible arrangement! That would be my perfect surprise too. 😀 Flowers are great, but they’re even better when they’re edible. 😉
