Distance

I miss him…..

I just had the best weekend exploring Austin with Eric, and this morning I had to take him to the airport to fly back to California. Β Every time gets harder and harder.

Anyone else in a long distance relationship?

How do you deal with the hardships of not being able to see each other and constantly saying “see you in a month or so”?

I’m sorry scissor…just think though: when you’re done with the internship the world is wide open and you can go anywhere you want…including SLO πŸ™‚

Awww….you make a great couple. I’m sorry. The distance must be tough. I’ve never been in a long distance relationship. I’m sure it has it’s plus sides too. I guess I would just use the time to focus on yourself and doing things that make you happy. Every situation is temporary. Just remember that!

When I was dating my husband, we often had weeks apart. 2-6 weeks at a time! It was hard but made us appreciate each other so much more.

I started dating this guy just after we graduated from college and lived in different states. We dated long distance for 2 years. He is now my husband of almost 9 years. Long distance is hard, but do-able. Good luck!

Long distance is the WORST. Although it makes time together more special. I’m dealing with long distance right now, but at least I have a trip to NYC to look forward to in February. I think that’s what it is about in long distance relationships…having something to look forward to! Hang in there!!

oh yes! Definitely, I asked my parents for a plane ticket out to CA to visit him for my bday in Feb….but then I probably won’t see him for about 2 months, and then after that he will be on fires all summer and fall (till Nov.) so I might get to see him like 2 or 3 more times after :-/ Thanks for those lovely words! That helps a ton!

Salah, you two are so cute together…I love these pictures. Jon and I had to be long distance for one summer while we were dating. It was the longest summer ever. But I would definitely say we were closer when it was over than we probably would have been otherwise. We couldn’t even use phones, so we wrote letters to each other every day. Looking back it was a really special time! You guys will get through this time apart and be better in the end – just hang in there!

Thank you so much! That gives me a lot of hope…I couldn’t imagine not being able to talk to him on the phone, but I’m so close to him b/c of the distance. He is my best friend. Those are such great words of encouragement! It means a lot!

awww 😦 that IS hard. stay busy….very busy! find things to do “outside yourself”….you know things that make you focus on helping other people. c
also, write how you’re feeling. and cry. it’s ok. πŸ™‚ if you feel like crying. just cry. πŸ™‚

i can understand how long distance can be hard…my husband and i were in a long distance relationship for 4 years before we got married. so i know how you feel sweetie.. all i can say is just be strong and communicate as much as you want. talking makes all the difference. if you need to talk just shoot me an email and i will be happy to talk to you. hope you feel better:) *hugs*

My fiance and I dated long distance. I was in Ohio and he in Illinois. It was the one hardest things we’ve ever had to deal with and if it wasn’t for the 99.00 deals that United had I’m sure it would have been worse, but I can tell you that you learn to value and appreciate the person so much more when they aren’t around all the time. Good luck!

I’m in a long distance relationship that’s lasted for four brutal, wonderful, painful, happy years. I’m SO excited for it to be over; we’ve got one year to go and I’m getting so desperate!!
Hang in there sweetheart ❀ you can do this.
